Late Penalty Leads to Loss for Caps
Tied 2-2 late in the 3rd period Nicklas Backstrom was penalized for high sticking. Backstrom said that he didn’t touch him, but nonetheless the penalty led to a game winning goal for the Blue Jackets forward Alexander Wennberg with 53.6 seconds left in the game.
Trotz called out the acting job of Foligno on the penalty and wants the league to punish him. In the end, the Capitals lost two points or at least one assuming they would’ve gone into OT because of the acting job of Foligno.
