Max Scherzer May Not be ready for Start of Season
Max Scherzer is still recovering from a knuckle injury that he suffered last August. He didn’t miss any time and went on to lead the NL in wins and innings. He also went on to win the Cy Young Award so the injury didn’t seem like a big deal at all. However, when asked about his Knuckle during training yesterday he said that he may not be ready for opening day.
Instead of working out with the rest of the pitchers Scherzer played catch with balls smaller than a baseball. Without Scherzer the rotation at the start of the season could be unstable. He is arguably the Nats best pitcher so let’s all hope he can recover quickly.
