Paul George Stays with Pacers
As the trade deadline approached the Pacers received multiple offers for the soon to be free agent Paul George. It’s been reported that George wanted to be traded to LA, but the Nuggets and Celtics were both involved as well.
The Nuggets were scared off by having to try to resign him if they did pull off a trade. For the Celtics they apparently discussed giving up the Nets first round pick which they control in order to get the All Star.
George had an interesting quote after the deadline, saying that if the Pacers really wanted him to be the guy there that he would’ve be “in the loop a little more”. In the end, George will have a decision to make this summer when he hits free agency.
