Trojans Comeback to Beat Penn State
USC was up 27-14 and ended the first half up 27-21. Penn State wasn’t playing very well, but they have been a second half team all year. That trend continued as they opened up the second half scoring 28 points in less than 5 minutes and ended up leading 49-35. However, the Trojans didn’t give up. They were able to cut the lead to 49-42, and with 2 minutes they got the ball back.
With the help of two pass interference penalties by Penn State the Trojans went down the field and scored with 1:20 remaining. Right after that Penn State took the field with two timeouts and plenty of time to score. Well, USC picked off McSorley and was able to make a 46 yarder as time expired to win the game 52-49.
