West Virginia Upsets No. 1 Baylor

Baylor began the season unranked, but after a surprising 15-0 start found themselves the top ranked team in the nation for the first time in program history before playing West Virginia.

West Virginia played a press defense the whole night forcing 29 turnovers on 79 possessions for Baylor. West Virginia has been doing this to opponents all season long and Baylor became the 13th team out of 16 opponents to have their season high in turnovers come against the Mountaineers. The loss doesn’t take away any of the success that Baylor has had this year, but it does show that West Virginia is a real threat this year.
