Brissett Makes Patriots 3-0
After Garoppolo getting hurt last week Brissett was forced into the starting role. The Patriots opened as underdogs early in the week, but ended up winning 27-0. Brissett wasn’t perfect by any standards, going 11-19 for 103 yards. Brissett was also able to run for 48 yards and a touchdown.
The biggest thing Brissett did was not turn the ball over. For a rookie QB in a primetime game that’s a hard thing to ask. The Patriots forced two fumbles on kickoff returns which they turned into points. Blount also went off with a 41 yard touchdown run. In the end, Bill Belichick proved once again that he can take any QB and win.
