Capitals Beat Hurricanes 6-1
The Capitals returned home to host the Hurricanes, but they didn’t get off to the best start as Staal got the Hurricanes on the board with a power play goal less than 5 minutes into the game.
However, from there on out it was all Capitals with 6 unanswered goals. Orlov started off the scoring parade with a power play goal midway through the first, and Williams made it 2-1 right before the 2nd period. Orlov would score again early in the second to make it 3-1.
Kuznetsov, Oshie, and Eller would all go on to score goals of their own in the demolishment. The Caps will now hit the road starting with the Senators tonight.
