Caps Beat Maples Leafs in OT 6-5
It was one of the craziest games the Capitals have played this year. They managed to score 2 goals in the first period, but Holtby let in 3 and for the first time this year he was pulled.
The Maples leafs scored in the 2nd to take a 4-2 lead heading into the 3rd period. In the 3rd period the Caps scored twice early with a little over a minute between the two goals. The Maple Leafs then again took the lead, but the Caps answered again tie the game at 5-5 and force overtime.
Overtime was rather short with Ovechkin scoring the game winner only 22 seconds in. The Capitals haven’t come from behind in the 3rd period much this season so the win is definitely special.
