Caps Bounce Back with Win over Boston
The Caps got back on track with a 5-3 win over the Bruins at home Wednesday night. Oshie scored early in the first period to make it 1-0, and Backstrom would add another to make it 2-0 with 6 minutes left in the 1st period. However, the Bruins would get a goal by Marchand on a power play to make 2-1 before the end of 1st period. Marchand would get another power play goal to make it 2-2 early in the 2nd.
Alex Ovechkin answered back with a power play goal of his own in the final seconds of the 2nd period. Then in the 3rd Connolly scored another power play goal for the Caps to make it 4-2. Kuznetsov continued his great play with a short side goal on Rask to make it 5-2. The game would end 5-3, and the Caps have now won 8 in a row at home.
