Caps Falls to Predators 5-2
The Capitals like most games got off to a good start against Nashville with a first period goal by Tom Wilson. However, after that the Predators took over scoring 3 goals in the second period to take a 3-1 lead. They would extend the lead with a power play goal by Josi in the 3rd.
The Caps cut into the lead with a goal by Kuznetsov later in the 3rd, but that would be as close as they would get. Nashville then added another goal to make it 5-2 with less than a minute left. The game was Ovechkin’s 900th career game, but he didn’t record a point.
The Capitals will try to bounce back when they travel to take on the Rangers Tuesday.
