Caps Lose in Shootout to Devils
The Capitals were down 1-0 after the second period but a shorthanded goal by Winnik in the 3rd knotted it up at 1-1. The Devils backup goalie Kinkaid saved 43 shots in the game and was a huge reason they won. The game went to overtime and ultimately had to be decided in a shootout.
The Capitals didn’t deliver in the shootout, and the Devils scored twice to win the game. The Caps losing ways continued last night, but they were able to get at least one point. There is a lot of Hockey left this year, but in a competitive division the Caps need to get back on the winning train soon.
