Redskins Moving to Virginia?
The Redskins will need a new stadium in the coming years. Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe wants Virginia to be the place the Redskins build their new Stadium. He recently has said that he believes the state can get it done without using taxpayer’s money.
Instead, he believes selling development rights in the surrounding areas could pay for the new stadium. This idea is very similar to how the Rams and now the Chargers are building their new Stadium in LA. Only time will tell where the Redskins decide to move to, but their lease ends in 2027 so it may be awhile before they make that choice.
