Egyptian singer, Tamer Hosny isn’t shy to say that he is “crazy” about his mother for all the sacrifices she made for him. Though she was Syrian born, she spent her life in Egypt and remained there to raise him. Born in 1977, Tamer not only sings, but acts, directs and writes songs and scripts. His latest song is “Kol Haga Bena,” from his new album, “Omry Ebtada” “Hob,” his first album, was released in 2004 and featured many slow romantic songs. He was introduced to Arab audiences by guesting on other Arab singers’ albums prior to launching his solo career. He released a duet with rapper Snoop Dogg, “Si Al Sayed” in 2013, and in the same year a joint song with singers Pitbull and Akon titled, “Arabian Night” for his album “One Little World”.

From his 2014 album, “180 Daraga”, Tamer has several songs that fans have enjoyed; including the title track, they are “Ana Wala Aref”, “Bahebek Bkol Al Lahagat” and “Welcome to the Life.”
The video clip for the alpha male anthem with Snoop Dogg has been viewed on youtube over 22 million times. His other highly viewed songs with over 25 and 28 million songs respectively are “180 Daraga” and “Koll Haga Bena.” The top five most viewed songs are rounded off with “Etman” featuring Aalia Hosny with 20.3 million views and “Ana Wala 3aref” seen over 17 million times. In 2014 he released another song that also featured Akon, “Welcome To The Life.” Tamer definitely gets the award for the most East West collaborations of an Arab singer. His current album, “Omry Ebtada” was released in June of this year in the middle of Ramadan.
